Technology media NeoWin published a blog post today (May 22), reporting that Microsoft has launched the Retro Classics app for Game Pass subscribers, inviting them to relive more than 50 classic Activision games.
The Retro Classics app focuses on retro classic games, especially including many masterpieces released by Activision in the 1980s and 1990s. Microsoft emphasized that the launch of this app demonstrates their commitment to game preservation and backward compatibility.
The application was jointly developed by Xbox and Antstream Arcade, covering all cloud-supported platforms including PC, Xbox consoles, smart TVs, and VR headsets.
The application supports game controller and keyboard operation, and also has built-in game guides, daily challenges and achievements systems, and includes many classic games such as "Pitfall", "River Raid" and "Space Quest" series. Microsoft promises to continue to add more classic games in the future.
