Ramen Shop Simulator, a ramen shop management simulation game based on small shops in Japanese streets, has recently launched a free trial demo on Steam. Players who often travel to Japan or have watched "Midnight Diner" should be able to empathize with the familiar atmosphere in the game screen.
"Ramen Shop Simulator" is a simulation management game developed by the Swedish game team Sannin Interactive. Similar to most cooking simulation games, players will play the role of a shop owner to run a shop from a first-person perspective, but this time they are running a small ramen shop of less than five square meters.
Like general simulation games, Ramen Shop Simulator demonstrates the function of freely picking up items in the store during the tutorial stage, from small condiments or posters to large bags of garbage or gas cans, all of which can be picked up and moved with the left mouse button. Of course, many items need to be placed in specific locations to work, such as putting noodles and ingredients in the refrigerator in the early stages, placing carbon dioxide cylinders under the beer machine, and gas cans under the cooking table.
The process of cooking ramen is not complicated. Currently, there are two options: Sapporo ramen and Hakata ramen. Different types of noodles, ingredients and soup bases need to be prepared. When making, you need to select the stove position on different cooking tables, put in the ingredients, click cooking, and wait for the progress bar to complete. Before officially opening, players also need to set the menu of the ordering machine to decide the dishes to be served that night.
Since it is still an early development trial version, customers are paper figures with free materials. They will not complain about the speed of serving or make trouble. Players only need to click on the noodles, barbecued pork and soup base on the cooking table to complete the dish arrangement, and then send it to the table and click the meal ticket to complete the delivery.
Another major feature of "Ramen Shop Simulator" is the decoration function. From the back kitchen to the bar, and even the door curtains in the alley outside the store, you can buy decorations for decoration. The original items can also be reconfigured through the decoration mode (Tab key), allowing players to create their favorite ramen shop in a limited space.
Overall, the scene atmosphere of "Ramen Shop Simulator" is restored in place, the custom decoration options are rich, and the visual effects of 3D modeling and ramen food are also quite attractive. However, as a work under development, many actions are completed instantly, lacking the immersive feeling of hand animations, and customer reactions are relatively simple (perhaps because of this, the dishwashing link is omitted). These are all parts that can be further improved in the official version.
The trial version of "Ramen Shop Simulator" has been launched on the Steam platform. Interested players can download it or add it to the wish list.
